James Sr. learned his method of basket making from his father, who had learned from his own father. James Sr. has been making baskets for almost two decades. Making baleen baskets is his passion, and he has taught others the art. James Sr. prefers to make round baskets with an occasional oval-shaped basket. Although James Sr.’s baskets are recognizable by their shape, he has a distinctive whale tail as the top on all his baskets. |
