Natalia Inga is the daughter of Doug and Viola Inga and was born on Kodiak Island and raised in the Mat-Su Valley. She started making beaded jewelry when she was nine. She was eighteen when she started basket weaving, although she was taught to weave at around age eight. Ms. Inga also makes Sugpiaq beaded headdresses.
