Lisa Adams was raised in Barrow, the northern most city located on the north slopes of Alaska. She was taught to skin sew at a young age in her Inupiat classes and enjoys sewing ever since. She makes parkas, fur boot liners, atikluks, fur mittens, polar bear fur ponytails/scrunchies, hats and also seal skin baby booties. Ranging from various arctic animals that her husband Billy provides for the family (bowhead whale, polar bear, caribou and various seals). She loves the feeling of completing a hand sewn item, knowing where it came from and hopes to help her Inupiat culture stay alive by sewing. Aarigaa!
